Dr. Karen Rance is an accomplished clinician and medical affairs executive with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience in allergy, asthma, and immunology. As a doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner, she merges deep clinical insight with biopharma and advocacy leadership.
Dr. Rance has practiced extensively in both primary care and specialty allergy/immunology settings and has practiced extensively in both primary care and specialty allergy/immunology settings. These roles have grounded her mission: improving health outcomes through science-driven, patient-centered innovation.
Dr. Rance served as Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at biotech, spearheading cross-functional initiatives around clinical development, regulatory strategy, and scientific communication for first-in-class anaphylaxis therapies. Prior to that, she led North America medical affairs as Senior Director at global allergy pharmaceutical company.
She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP) and provides fractional CMO/VP-level consulting through BioVision Consulting.
Dr. Rance is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. In 2022, she was named the U.S. National MSL Manager of the Year by the Medical Science Liaison Society.
